“Lets Invest in our children through Education”: CS Machogu

The education Cabinet Secretary Mr. Ezekiel Machogu has called upon the parents to keep on investing on the education of their children for it is the only lasting investment that they can make on their children.

The education Cabinet Secretary Mr. Ezekiel Machogu has called upon the parents to keep on investing on the education of their children for it is the only lasting investment that they can make on their children. Speaking during an event organized by the principals from the Catholic schools within the diocese, Mr. Machogu said that we have to take deliberate measures to ensure that once our young people are out of school, there are opportunities for employment.

“We have to take deliberate, intentional and practical measures to ensure that once our young people are out of schools, there are opportunities for employment.”

He thanked the teachers for making the Kenyans understand the CBC system which was initially misunderstood. He added that we have to make the children competitive by exposing them to what is happening around the world. He assured them that the presidential working party is really working hard to make the CBC report ready to be tabled to the president in the coming two weeks for the ministry to ensure that proper implementation of the system.

The CS asked the principals to keep working hard to put the Gusii region high on the map of academic excellence and disregard other side talks targeting the Abagusii community in matters education.

The principals are therefore urged to keep up with the good work in ensuring that the students get the best in education in order to keep them up in the Know. Education being the backbone of all activities, science and innovations, it should be taken seriously to ensure that all students get the best out of it.
